Source: CME Futures Settlement
Summary: Effective July 2, 2015, CME is closing most open outcry futures. Additional information from CME is available here.

Please note that there should be no effect for Commodity DataServer end-users.

However, CME-related Marketplace feed products are affected.

We have created new Marketplace feeds that use the actual exchange code as keys for the electronic session. This allows for enhanced data quality, and we will request clients migrate to the new feeds. For clients using the feeds via Marketplace Publisher, your CRM will be reaching out to assist with the migration of your Publisher list to use the new keys.

Discontinued Feeds
The following feeds are pit session only. Clients should move to the Globex feed, listed to the right.

Impacted Feeds:
The following feeds contain Pit and Globex. Clients need to move from the Pit symbols to the Globex symbols.
• CME_Comex_FuturesSettlement
• KCBT_Futures

Symbol Name Changes:
We have attached an updated mapping which consists of original Pit and its corresponding Globex key which clients should use going forward. This latest version includes additional products in the CME_FuturesSettlement feed.

Going forward all symbols in Marketplace from CME Group will follow the naming convention:
"@" + "CME Globex"
Examples:
@NG
@NG5Z
@GC

Exceptions to Name Changing Logic:
In the pit feeds, Morningstar had a number of symbols that were not using the CME symbol name. These symbols will move to the official CME Globex name (prepended with the "@").

Morningstar Commodity Data Announcement: MISO ELMP Data – March 1, 2015

Please be advised that MISO is implementing ELMPs on March 1, 2015. Consequently, there will be an ExAnte and an ExPost version of some of their data.

The ExPost data will be used for settlements and therefore is the final data. Currently the existing feeds/columns are the settlement data, so we will put the ExPost data into the existing feeds/columns and create a new feed/column for the ExAnte data, which is more informational.

The formula for computing the LMP data for Real Time Preliminary data is unchanged. The formula for computing the Real Time Final data is changing; however, the file name and format will not change. There will be no change to the Morningstar system for this set of data.

The data files affected are:

Real Time 5 Minute LMP data
Day Ahead LMP data
Day Ahead MCP data

This change affects the following Commodity Data Server Paths:

TopRelation:Energy:Electricity:Iso:Miso:DayAheadMCP
TopRelation:Energy:Electricity:Iso:Miso:DayAheadLmp
TopRelation:Energy:Electricity:Iso:Miso:RealTimeLmp

For data through these paths, the symbology will not change, and the existing columns will contain the ExPost data. We will create new columns with ‘ExAnte’ appended to the end to hold the ExAnte data.

Additionally, only the 5 minute columns will be affected under the Real Time LMP path. We will load the ExPost data for the 5 minute data. However, due to the volume of data, we will not be loading the ExAnte 5 minute data into all systems. If you require the ExAnte 5 Minute LMP data, please contact Support at commoditydata-support@morningstar.com to evaluate your system and determine whether the data can be made available.
